1.Working principle
Adsorption principle: The use of adsorbents (such as activated alumina, silica gel, molecular sieve, etc.) on the adsorption of water, when the humid compressed air through the adsorbent adsorption tower, water is adsorbent, so that the outflow of air becomes dry.

 

Regeneration principle: After the adsorbent absorbs water to saturation, it needs to be regenerated to restore its adsorption capacity. There are two common forms of regeneration. One is heating regeneration, by heating the adsorbent, so that the adsorbed water evaporates out and is discharged with the air flow; The other is non-thermal regeneration, using the low-temperature air flow formed after the partial drying compressed air depressurization expansion, to purge the adsorbent and take away water.

 

2.Structural composition
Adsorption tower: is the core part of the dryer, the interior is filled with adsorbent, usually there are two adsorption towers, one is used for adsorption drying, the other is used for regeneration, by switching valves to achieve alternate work.

 

Control system: used to control the switching of the adsorption tower, regeneration time and other parameters to ensure the stable operation of the dryer. There are two common control systems: time control and dew point control. Time control can switch and regenerate the adsorption tower according to the set time period. The dew point control automatically adjusts the regeneration cycle according to the dew point temperature of the compressed air, which is more energy efficient and accurate.

 

Valve: including air intake valve, air outlet valve, regeneration valve, etc., used to control the flow of compressed air and on and off, to achieve the adsorption and regeneration process switch.

 

Muffler: Installed in the regenerative exhaust port, used to reduce the noise of the exhaust gas during the regeneration process.
