For the draining operation of the water separator, whether it is for conventional use or for semi-trailer use, the basic steps are similar. First, find the water separator on the vehicle, which is usually located near the fuel tank and is cylindrical. Under the coarse filter at the bottom of the water separator, you will find a knob or screw. Gently unscrew this knob or screw counterclockwise, and the water will flow out naturally. After the water flows clean, tighten the knob or screw clockwise, and the vehicle can resume normal use.

If the outflowing water is found to be dirty, you can inject clean water into the water separator for flushing to prevent the inner wall from being oxidized by dirt. In addition, regular draining and replacement of the water separator is an important measure to keep it in good working condition. It is generally recommended to adjust the replacement time according to actual usage and fuel quality, usually after a certain number of kilometers.
